At the Tiller Road centre you can enjoy their accessible swimming pool or have a sauna.
The pool is accessible for wheelchair users – it has a hoist.
There are always trained life guards watching the pools.
If you would like swimming lessons phone for information.

You can try weight training or boxing or have an aerobic work out.

If you or your group would like to try one of these sports - contact the centre and ask for a taster session. A personal trainer can be there to support you.

If you like what you try and want to use the centre more you can get membership for a year.
To do this you need to book an induction with a personal trainer.
This means they help you work out what exercises are good for you to do.

If you live in Tower Hamlets the staff here can support you to fill in a leisure pass form to get cheaper prices.
All you need to bring is your ID and a passport photo.

You can hire the centre for parties and family gatherings.

If you want to use the centre as a group its best to call before you go.
   Cost or concessions
£
If you go at a peak time (when they are very busy) it is more expensive.
 The peak times are...
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday lunchtimes (12.00 midday to 2.00 pm),
and evenings (5.00 pm to 9.00 pm).
Sunday mornings (8.00 am to 2.30 pm) and afternoons (4.30 pm to 6.00 pm).

Off-peak times are cheaper because they are not so busy.
 Off-peak times are...
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (7.00 am to 12.00 midday),
and afternoons (2.00 pm to 5.00 pm).
Saturday is off-peak all day.
Sunday afternoons (2.30 pm to 4.30pm).

Here is an idea of the prices:

Swimming
If you have a leisure pass, are under 16 years old or are a senior citizen...
it costs £1.15 to swim at any time.

If you don't have a leisure pass...
It costs £2.75 to swim at peak time and £2.25 at off-peak time.

Gym
If you have a leisure pass it costs £1.80 to use the Gym at any time.

If you don't have a leisure pass...
it costs £4.80 to use the Gym at peak time and £3.90 at off-peak time

Group exercise
If you have a leisure pass it costs £1.70 at any time.
If you don't have a leisure pass it costs about £4.70 at any time.

Sauna
If you have a leisure pass it costs £1.35 to use the sauna at any time.
If you don't have a leisure pass it costs £2.70 to use the sauna at any time.

Coaches can park outside the main entrance.

D3, D7 and D8 are the nearest mobility buses:
N50 is the night bus.

(Jubilee line) - Canary Wharf underground station is the nearest tube - then change onto the DLR and get off at Crossharbour & London Arena station.
Jubilee underground station is accessible for wheelchair users.
There is an accessible toilet in the station.

   British Rail
Canning town and Greenwich are the nearest mainline stations - then change onto the DLR and get off at Crossharbour & London Arena station.

The way through the main entrance is flat, the automatic doors are about 105cm.
   Getting around inside
There are 2 main floors, the Ground floor and Floor 1.
The smallest doorway inside is about 740mm wide.
There are accessible toilets on both floors.
You can buy snacks from vending machines on both floors. A cup of tea and snack bar costs about £1.10.

The Ground floor has 2 levels.
The reception is on the lower level as you go in.
There are 8 steps to the next level - you can use a stair-lift (it is 740mm wide)
This is where the swimming pool, sauna and changing rooms are.
There is also a crèche here.
If you use a wheelchair you can get to the sauna through the crèche.
The sauna is being made more accessible.

Floor 1
You can use the lift from reception to get to Floor 1.
The lift doorway is about 800mm wide.

There is a weights and aerobic gym to use.

The boxing gym is in the basement.
You can only get to the basement by using the stairs.

 Changing rooms
There is a Men's and a Ladies' changing room on the Ground floor.
If you need an accessible shower you can change in the accessible toilet.

There are 2 accessible toilets.
They do have hand rails. They are not locked.
The toilets have good colour contrast.

There is 1 accessible toilet near the swimming pool on the Ground floor.
It has the widest doorway - about 900mm wide.
It has a lot of space inside and an accessible shower.

The other accessible toilet on Floor 1 is near the Gym.
The doorway is about 740mm wide.
   Support
The staff were really friendly and helpful on our visit.
There are always 3 members of staff who have first aid training.
Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
