You can learn to climb and use ropes to abseil in safety.
The floors are covered in foam rubber and you can use ropes so you can't fall!
They have different walls to suit your needs. The staff are qualified to teach you to climb.
Lots of different groups use the walls.
The Mile End Climbing Wall can be really hot inside in summer, and cold in winter.
It is a good idea to wear sports clothes, like tracksuits.
You can change at the climbing wall if you want.
There are lockers to keep your things safe. To use the lockers you need a 50p deposit (and ask for the deposit back when you give the key back).
There are showers to use after your climb.
You can bring your own food or buy a snack there. You can eat inside or outside.

If you want to use the climbing wall as a group its best to book a week before you go.

£
To go climbing for the first time you need to register (or sign up), this costs £4.00. Staff can support you to fill in this form.

A concession ticket costs about £4.10 (this is for people over 18 years old).
For a group of 8 people to climb for 1 and a half hours it will cost about £36.00. (If your group is from Tower Hamlets it will cost about £28.00).

If you are under 18 years old you will need adult supervision.

A can of drink and flapjack (or fruit) costs about £1.60.

The Palm Tree pub is about 140 metres from the Mile End Climbing Wall.

The main parking area is on loose stones at the Climbing Wall. There is space for accessible parking. You could also park near the entrance on Haverfield Road.

Central line - Mile End underground station is about 750 metres from Mile End Climbing Wall.
Mile End underground station - is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Bethnal Green mainline station is about 2000 metres from the Mile End Climbing Wall.
Bethnal Green mainline station is not accessible for people using a wheelchair.

There is a cobbled drive from Haverfield Road to the reception building.
The way through the main entrance is flat.

The minimum doorway width is 810mm wide.
There is foam matting on the floors of the climbing room floors.

The male and female toilets both have an accessible toilet. They do not have hand rails.
They are not locked.
The ladies accessible toilet has the widest doorway, it is 910mm.
