You could walk to the aquarium from Waterloo Station.
Route to the aquarium from Waterloo has no curbs.
Double front doors open to 1680mm wide and it has level access.
There is room for wheelchair users to move around in the entrance.
The pavement is very wide outside.

Getting around
inside
Ground floor is level with room for a wheelchair user to move around.
There are 2 wheelchairs to use free of charge, these can be borrowed on a 'first come, first served' basis.
Reception counter is 1100 mm high.
There are sound loops on reception and staff are trained to use them. There are sound loops on the touch screens in the aquarium.
The aquarium is painted black so it is quite dark.
It is lit by coloured lights and the lights from the fish tanks.
There are 4 floors of fish tanks to look at but not many seats around the building - some people may find it quite tiring.
Floor is covered in rubber bubble matting.
The lift has a minimum door width of 1300mm. There is room for a wheelchair user to move around inside the lift.

The unisex toilets are fully accessible.
There is one toilet on every floor, well lit and not locked.
The folding doors are not heavy and minimum door widths are 880mm.

The trained staff are very helpful and can tell you a lot about the fish and other sea creatures.
Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
