This is a library service for all ages with free internet access.
It also has all sorts of adult education classes and different events through the year.
There are vending machines for drinks and snacks.
If you want to join you need to bring your ID and fill in a form. The staff can support you if you want.
You can also apply for a leisure pass here.

Cost or concessions
It is free to borrow books, but you have to pay to borrow DVDs.
You can borrow as many as 12 things from the Idea Store.
If you are under 16 years old or over 60 years old you can borrow CDs for free.
Some of the adult education classes are free. Other classes cost £5.00 (this is a concession price).

The minimum door width is 865mm.
There is an accessible service area. The height of the counter is 895mm.
There are 2 different kinds of shelves.
Some top shelves are 150mm high, others are 1410mm high.
There are tables and chairs, some chairs have firm sides.
The Chrisp Street Idea Store has 2 floors.
Lifts
There are 2 lifts to the other floors. The lift doors are 900mm wide.
There is enough room for a person using a wheelchair to move around inside.
The buttons are tactile and not too high. There is a mirror for reversing.

Accessible toilets
There is a fully accessible toilet in a unisex area. It is not locked.
The sliding doorway is 890mm wide BUT to get to the toilet you need to go through a door that is 865mm wide.
